MAEER’s Maharashtra Academy of Naval Education and Training (MANET), Pune, established in 2001, is a premier maritime institute approved by the Directorate General of Shipping, Government of India. Relocated to the scenic Rajbaug Campus in 2004, MANET offers world-class programs including B.Tech Marine Engineering, B.Sc Nautical Science, Diploma in Nautical Science (DNS), and the Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) course. The institute is equipped with modern facilities such as the unique Ship-in-Campus, a fully functional replica of a ship’s engine room for hands-on training. MANET is committed to nurturing cadets with discipline, leadership, and global competence, preparing them for rewarding careers in the Merchant Navy and marine engineering.
🎓 Pre-Sea Training
B.Sc Nautical Science
Eligibility: 10+2 PCM ≥60%, English ≥50%, age ≤25, medically fit, 6/6 eyesight, no color blindness.
BE / B-Tech Marine Engineering
Eligibility: 10+2 PCM ≥60%, English ≥50%, age <25, DG medical fit, 6/6 eyesight, passport required.
Diploma In Nautical Science
Eligibility: 10+2 PCM, age 17–25, pursuing Deck Cadet career, eligible for pre-sea training, DG exams.
Electro Technical Officers
Eligibility: Completed ETO pre-sea/bridging, medically fit, STCW training, responsible for ship electrical systems, eligible for ETO CoC.
