J.Sons Merchant Navy Institute (JMNI), established in 2003 by Late Mr. Akhil Gupta and now managed by the Sri Akhil Gupta Memorial Trust, is located in a pollution-free, lush green campus in Meerut, U.P., within the National Capital Region. Approved by the Director General of Shipping, Ministry of Surface Transport, Government of India, JMNI provides Pre-Sea Training for GP Rating and Basic STCW modular courses. The institute offers theoretical, practical, physical, and audio-visual training to develop competent mariners equipped to handle modern technology and trends. Situated in an educational and industrial hub near Delhi, JMNI prepares students for a global maritime career while emphasizing safe, efficient, and skilled shipping operations.

Basic Safety Training
Eligibility: 10th pass, age 18–30, medically fit, complete STCW PST, FPFF, EFA, PSSR, full attendance.
Security Trng. for Seafarer with Designated Security Duties
Eligibility: Completed STCW safety training, assigned designated security duties, covers ship security, threat assessment, certificate issued mandatory.
🔄 Refresher Courses
Refresher Training for Proficiency in FPFF
Eligibility: Previously FPFF certified seafarers; refresher ensures updated fire prevention, firefighting skills, safety compliance, mandatory renewal.
Refresher Training for Proficiency in PST
Eligibility: Previously PST certified seafarers; refresher updates survival skills, life-saving appliances use, drills, safety compliance, mandatory renewal.
🎓 Pre-Sea Training
Training for General Purpose Ratings
Eligibility: 10th pass, medically fit, STCW trained, joining as General Purpose Rating, covers ship duties, certificate issued.
