About AMET University
AMET – Academy of Maritime Education and Training is India’s first Deemed-to-be University for maritime education, training, and research, established in 1993 and granted Deemed University status in 2007. Overlooking the Bay of Bengal on the scenic East Coast Road, AMET is a member of the International Association of Maritime Universities. With over 3,500 students across diploma to doctoral programs, it offers maritime and related courses through multiple faculties. 🎓 Pre-Sea Training
Electro Technical Officers
Eligibility: Completed ETO pre-sea/bridging, medically fit, STCW training, responsible for ship electrical systems, eligible for ETO CoC.
Graduate Marine Engineering
Eligibility: 10+2 PCM, medically fit, STCW training, pursuing Marine Engineering Officer career, eligible for DG pre-sea training.
Training for General Purpose Ratings
Eligibility: 10th pass, medically fit, STCW trained, joining as General Purpose Rating, covers ship duties, certificate issued.
B.Sc Nautical Science
Eligibility: 10+2 PCM ≥60%, English ≥50%, age ≤25, medically fit, 6/6 eyesight, no color blindness.
BE / B-Tech Marine Engineering
Eligibility: 10+2 PCM ≥60%, English ≥50%, age <25, DG medical fit, 6/6 eyesight, passport required.
