About BP Marine Academy - Panvel
B.P. Marine Academy (BPMA), established on 5 December 1997, is a prominent maritime training institution offering comprehensive pre-sea, post-sea and diploma/degree courses for aspiring seafarers. The Academy runs two campuses — the scenic 15-acre Panvel campus near waterfront, and a Belapur campus in Navi Mumbai. BPMA provides DG-Shipping and internationally approved merchant-navy courses including GP Rating, Nautical Science, Marine Engineering, ETO and more. With modern infrastructure, well-equipped labs, industry-standard simulators, trained faculty and placement support, the institute aims to produce competent seafarers prepared for global maritime careers.
🎓 Pre-Sea Training
B.Sc Nautical Science
Eligibility: 10+2 PCM ≥60%, English ≥50%, age ≤25, medically fit, 6/6 eyesight, no color blindness.
Certificate Course In Maritime Catering – CCMC
Eligibility: 10th pass, age 17.5–25, medically fit, pursuing maritime catering career, DG Shipping-approved certificate awarded.
Graduate Marine Engineering – GME
Eligibility: 10+2 PCM, medically fit, STCW training, pursuing Marine Engineering Officer career, eligible for DG pre-sea training.
Training for General Purpose Ratings – G.P. RATING
Eligibility: 10th pass, medically fit, STCW trained, joining as General Purpose Rating, covers ship duties, certificate issued.
