About IMU kochi-campus
The Kochi Campus of Indian Maritime University (IMU) traces its origins to 1981 with the establishment of the Marine Engineering Training Institute (METI) by the Government of India. Upgraded in 1993 as the Marine Engineering and Research Institute (MERI), it offered comprehensive education and training for maritime professionals. In 2004, MERI merged with the Indian Institute of Port Management (IIPM) to form the IMU Kochi Campus, providing world-class maritime education and training.
