About Trident College of Marine Technology
The Calcutta Maritime Training Institute (TCMT) is the largest maritime training institute in Eastern India, established with a vision to deliver extensive, high-quality training for mariners. Spread across 5 acres with serene surroundings, TCMT is a ₹16 crore project equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure, including a swimming and boat pool, workshops, computer labs, playgrounds, residential facilities, and recreation areas. 🎓 Pre-Sea Training
Training for General Purpose Ratings – G.P. RATING
Eligibility: 10th pass, medically fit, STCW trained, joining as General Purpose Rating, covers ship duties, certificate issued.
Certificate Course In Maritime Catering – CCMC
Eligibility: 10th pass, age 17.5–25, medically fit, pursuing maritime catering career, DG Shipping-approved certificate awarded.
🛢️ Familiarization
Basic Safety Training – BST
Eligibility: 10th pass, age 18–30, medically fit, complete STCW PST, FPFF, EFA, PSSR, full attendance.
Security Trng. for Seafarer with Designated Security Duties – STSDSD
Eligibility: Completed STCW safety training, assigned designated security duties, covers ship security, threat assessment, certificate issued mandatory.
